ARTS and Creativity can Change the Narrative_Zilla Dares Kanang.

I find it important to make this piece when I listen to the eloquent Governor delivering his speech at the sideline of this year's Plateau State Arts and Exhibition event, a week-long event to explore talents in the State. In his submission, He recalls how many of today's giants in the arts and creative industry started small like this and encouraged the youths to exercise passion in their little beginning.

Plateau State is an advantageous state when it comes to arts and creativity; I recall the many that pass through Plateau State. The weather, the culture, the location, and the People all added to the beauty of the state.

We thank God that the old story of tagging the state as vulnerable to security threats has been put to rest in the past year of this administration.

Now we are going to tell our stories ourselves, the true Plateau story, the story of a rising new Plateau. We will do this together irrespective of our little differences. We must stop the pull-him-down mentality and lift our shared state, may Plateau succeed.
