AT 2024 ANNUAL THANKSGIVING OF MWAGHAVUL NATION, GOVERNOR MUTFWANG VOWS TO RESTORE PEACE ACROSS PLATEAU STATE


In a firm commitment to peace and unity, Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has declared his administration's unwavering resolve to establish lasting tranquility throughout the state.

In the aftermath of the series of attacks on communities, the Governor announced plans to facilitate the return of Internally Displaced Persons to their ancestral homes and ensure the restoration of normalcy and security.

As submitted through the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, Gyang Bere, The Governor pledged Plusng the 2024 Puus Cin Plang Naan celebration, an annual Thanksgiving organized by the Mwaghavul Development Association (MDA) Jos and Environs, held at the Mwaghavul House, Opposite the Mounted Training Centre in Bukuru, Jos-Plateau State.

Condemning the criminal acts that have disrupted harmony in the state, Governor Mutfwang assured that the government's efforts to apprehend and duly punish the perpetrators remain steadfast.

"With unwavering determination, we shall persevere until Plateau State basks in the serenity it deserves. It is our divine mission this year to rehome as many of our displaced citizens as possible," he affirmed.

The Governor called for unity and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of collective action to prevent societal divisions and to reclaim lands left fallow in the previous farming season.

He also commended the Mwaghavul community for upholding the spirit of Plateau, which embodies a trust that must be upheld with honor.

Hon. Markus Artu, Chairman of the Transition Implementation Committee for Mangu Local Government Area, lauded the resilience and solidarity of the Mwaghavul people, encouraging them to maintain their faith through challenging times.

He expressed his full support and dedication to enhancing the welfare of the Local Government Area.
