Pushit Ward PDP Women Holds Strategic Meeting; shower praises on Chief Moses Nwan, mni, PhD
The Pushit Ward of Mangu Local Government Area yesterday 31/08/2025, hosted an unprecedented political gathering. The ward PDP women, led by their Women Leader, Mrs. Jummai Solomon, held a strategic meeting aimed at fostering growth, unity, and political stability.
The meeting attracted women from all twenty-eight (28) polling units in the ward and was honored by the presence of Chief Moses Nwan, mni, PhD, the Executive Private Secretary to the Governor. Chief Nwan, a major political appointee/leader from the ward, was invited by the women leaders to support their vision for strengthening the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In his remarks, Chief Nwan reaffirmed his commitment to service, describing women as “pillars of community growth and party stability.” He cautioned them against succumbing to divisive rumors or monetary inducements, urging them to remain loyal to His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, whom he praised as “a man of vision and purpose.”
Chief Nwan, with the support of a son of the soil made cash donations. He equally onbehalf of himself and his family presented fifty (50) bundles of wrappers to the women as demonstrating his support.
The First Lady of the Local Government Area, Mrs. Emmanuel Mwolpun, alongside, with the LGA women leader Mrs keturah and other community leaders, were also present at the event.
Speakers emphasized that “Plateau is PDP, and PDP is Plateau,” reinforcing the importance of unity, togetherness, and solidarity within the party. The Women Leader urged members to remain consistent and resilient, stating that steadfastness is the foundation of a strong political team.
Chief Nwan reiterated the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance under the Green Movement, emphasizing that the development of agriculture, infrastructure, education, security, and human capital is central to Governor Mutfwang’s agenda.
He encouraged the women to collaborate with the First Lady of the Local Government and other party leaders to promote sustainable development in Pushit Ward and throughout Mangu LGA. According to him, "unity in diversity" is essential for ensuring the continued strength of the PDP.
In closing, the meeting reaffirmed the women’s determination to remain steadfast in their support for the PDP and resist defection, pledging to collectively support Governor Mutfwang’s vision of prosperity, peace, and economic revitalization for Plateau State.
