Governor Mutfwang, Key Government Appointees Honored at Plateau Man of the Year Awards, Reaffirms Commitment for a Brighter Plateau State.

In a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang, Key Government Appointees Honored at Plateau Man of the Year Awards, Reaffirms Commitment to a Brighter Plateau State. Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has urged citizens to uphold the core values of peace, unity, tolerance, hard work, and empathy, emphasizing that these principles are crucial for the collective development of the state.

Governor Mutfwang made the call on Sunday while receiving the Plateau Man of the Year Award 2024 at a colourful ceremony at Crispan Hotel, Jos. He congratulated all awardees, distinguished sons and daughters of the state who have made significant contributions to the state’s growth and progress.

Represented by the Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Sylvanus Dongtoe, the Governor called on Plateau citizens to rise above partisan, religious, and ethnic divides and embrace a shared vision of brotherhood. He stressed that unity and collaboration are key to achieving the desired transformation in the state.

Governor Mutfwang highlighted his administration’s commitment to building trust, confidence, and integrity in governance through transparency and accountability, an approach that has already begun attracting global investors to Plateau State.

Reaffirming his vision for a brighter Plateau, Governor Mutfwang assured citizens that his administration is dedicated to restoring the state's lost glory. He emphasized that strategic measures have been put in place to revitalize tourism, agriculture, health, and education which are the key economic drivers needed for sustainable development.

The Governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to road infrastructure development across the 17 local government areas so as to ensure improved connectivity and economic growth.

He commended the event organizers for recognizing and encouraging outstanding individuals who continue to contribute to the progress of the state.

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, who was also honored at the event, expressed gratitude to Governor Mutfwang for his visionary leadership, which is steering Plateau State toward transformation.

He urged citizens to rally behind the Governor, irrespective of political affiliations, to collectively advance the state’s development.

The ceremony recognized numerous distinguished individuals across various categories, with awardees encouraged to leverage their expertise and influence to further propel Plateau State’s growth.
