In a statement on Thursday by the Director of Media to the Chairman, Bokkos LGC, Mapis Jonathan Marawes, the Plateau State Government House Chaplain, Rev. Benjamin Nadabo, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Chapel of Grace initiative led by Bokkos Local Government Council. He warmly received the First Lady of Bokkos Local Government, Mrs. Lami Amalau, and her team during a prayer session held at the Government House Chapel in Jos.

Rev. Nadabo praised the establishment of the Chapel of Grace, emphasizing its role in fostering spiritual growth and enthroning God’s presence in Bokkos land. He commended the leadership of Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government, for championing the initiative and underscored the importance of anchoring governance in faith and spiritual principles.

Accompanying Mrs. Amalau were Rev. Nanfwang Amos Damwesh (Bokkos Chaplain) and Pastor Hon. Damti Patrick James (Chapel Secretary), who joined the prayer session at the Government House Chapel.

Meanwhile, at the Chapel of Grace in Bokkos, a weekly prayer session was held, attended by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, his Deputy, Hon. Wallangko Mahwel Joseph, Mr. Mapis Jonathan Marawes, and Mr. Gunmar Nyam of COCIN Takawe.

The gathering in Bokkos featured an inspiring sermon delivered by Mr. Mapis Jonathan Marawes, titled “Living by Faith”, based on Hebrews 11:1 and Matthew 15:22-28. The message highlighted the unwavering faith of the Canaanite woman and encouraged Christians, particularly political leaders, to emulate biblical examples such as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Job, and Peter.

Mr. Gunmar Nyam led the congregation in a heartfelt worship session, creating an atmosphere of reverence and spiritual renewal.

Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau reiterated the importance of prayer in community and governance. Addressing the Chapel of Grace attendees, he emphasized, “Prayers are the foundation for growth, unity, and development. We will not relent in ensuring that the Chapel continues to serve as a beacon of faith and hope for Bokkos.”

The sessions concluded with a renewed sense of spiritual commitment, with participants encouraged to uphold faith, unity, and service in their lives and roles.
